LinkedIn Lesson 1 – Support Your Sales Campaigns

You may remember hearing about Rocketcamp 4 last November – an evening of media-related talks from leading local professionals. Our very own Managing Director Claire Wozencroft opened the event with a talk explaining why LinkedIn is her social media platform of choice for business.

"LinkedIn is by far my most favoured of all social media tools when it comes to business. I use it daily, from reading helpful articles to managing my contacts. My number one tip for LinkedIn is to use it to support your sales campaigns.
How? Simply use the powerful search facility to help you find the contact you want to speak to, but don’t use it to contact them cold – use it to see if you have any contacts in common. Asking people to help introduce you to someone makes them feel valued (most of the time) and provides a warm and often more trusted contact in the first instance. Remember, LinkedIn is about connecting with anyone in the world through the use of your contacts. Utilise this to take your sales campaigns to the next level."
