There’s been a lot going on over the past couple of weeks and not only from a client perspective.
New V8Media Website
We’ve been quietly working away on our new V8Media website, which went live last week. We’ve been super excited about it even more so, as whilst we've been working on our site, Umbraco released their latest version, Umbraco V8. So of course, our new website has been fully built in Umbraco V8, V8 on V8! By doing so this it gave us the opportunity to test out the latest version and wow, we weren’t disappointed.
New client website
Last week our latest website went live for client Wellies and Garlic, built in WordPress this new website provides Wellies and Garlic with an online presence and ability to promote their services far and wide.
We are also proud to announce that both Tom and Berwyn in the V8 office have now both completed training for Umbraco, making us officially Umbraco Cloud Developers!
Umbraco V8 is a major release, which allows for a more accessible, stronger and faster CMS for both us as developers and you, the end user.
We wanted to share with you a few snippets from the update, which we really think are fantastic and help set Umbraco apart from the rest:
With the new update, comes an 80% speed increase with web page load times down from 3 to 0.4 seconds.
The core philosophy for the user experience of Umbraco’s back office is that it should support the natural editing flow of content editors and feel frictionless - Infinite Editing allows just that.
You can now integrate tools such as Google analytics directly in the Umbraco CMS, helping you to centralise all of your online tools for your website.
If your website needs to be available in multiple languages, the latest Umbraco update allows you to manage multilingual content within the CMS.
