ISO Quality Services are an award winning, family run business founded by Chairman, Peter Appleton over 20 years ago. Today, Peter heads up the board with the support of his wife Susan whilst his daughters Jennifer and Debbie look after the day to day running of the business.
ISO Quality Services specialise in helping SMEs worldwide grow through the implementation and management of ISO and BS EN standards and offer a simple, cost effective service with flexible payment terms. They pride themselves on ‘keeping it simple’ and can support clients through the entire certification process in under eight weeks. In addition, they offer ISO training and ISO consultancy services to help clients maximise the benefits that ISO certification will bring to their business.
Jennifer Appleton, MD, comments “Unlike most ISO providers, we visit our clients twice a year, once at their re-certification audit (as required) and again at a support visit halfway through the year. This support visit is invaluable to our clients as it ensures that they do not run the risk of losing their certification, as well as giving them the opportunity to really embed the management systems deep into the day to day running of the business. So many businesses come to us as they feel the management systems are not fit for purpose and that they are just ticking boxes for a badge on the wall. We help them to integrate the management systems fully into operations and ensure that they enjoy all the benefits that come with doing this.”
But their support goes way beyond regular visits. ISO Quality Services also provide clients with a dedicated account manager who can assist with the day to day running of a management standard and access to their exclusive client area which includes templates, tutorials, and webinars.
Jennifer adds: “Our passion is to inspire organisational improvement and efficiency by providing unparalleled support. We allow our customers to put ISO at the heart of what they do. We have a strong company culture based on our core values: to display positivity, passion and professionalism. Be dynamic and deliver and always authentic and approachable. These values are reflected in our dealings with clients, suppliers, and staff and ensure we deliver a service that is unsurpassed”.
What is ISO Certification?
Jennifer explains: “ISO certification is proof that your management system complies with one of the internationally recognised ISO standards. Each ISO standard will bring its own unique benefits to the business for example, ISO 9001 Quality Management ensures you meet your customer needs, ISO 27001 Information Security helps protect your systems and data and ISO 14001 Environmental reduces your environmental impact.” Five common benefits across most ISO standards include:
- Widened market potential
- Compliance with tender requirements
- Improved efficiency and cost savings
- Instils confidence in your business
- Heightened staff morale, motivation and engagement
ISO Quality Services can support businesses with the implementation of several different ISO standards to include the popular ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 27001 Information Security, ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Standards. In addition to ISO certification, ISO Quality Services also has a training division designed to develop organisational understanding and ability to run an effective management system. They have a range of courses to suit all needs to include CPD accredited classroom-based training (currently conducted remotely), online training and onsite trainingtailored specifically for individual organisational needs.
These courses cover the core ISO standards: ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 27001 Information Security, ISO 14001Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and Internal Auditing (for all ISO Standards). What’s more, they even offer a range of FREE online introductory modules to help get you started and a range of multi-bundle discounts with savings of up to 30%. You can sign up here.
There are many reasons a business may require ISO Consultancy; they may need support getting their management system back on track, need to upgrade their existing ISO standard to a newer version or they may need UKAS Accredited Certification.
Jennifer adds: “The most common reason an organisation will require ISO Consultancy is because they need UKAS Accredited Certification. 3rd party ISO Certification is often enough for the majority of businesses but occasionally UKAS Accredited Certification is requested by a customer, trade association or regulatory body. Unlike ISO Certification providers, a UKAS Accredited Body is unable to offer any support during the implementation of a management standard meaning support from consultancy organisations like ourselves is essential to ensure accreditation first time.”
